BIOFACH will open its doors for visitors again. In 2021 the fair was held online, and this year it was postponed from February to 26-29 July due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The summer version of BIOFACH will be held in a mixed format, although more exhibitors and visitors are expected to participate in the fair onsite.
32 Ukrainian organic companies will take part in the summer version of BIOFACH in two pavilions:
- The National Pavilion of Ukraine Organic Ukraine Business Hub, organized by the State Institution “Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office” and Organic Ukraine NGO in partnership the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine,
- Pavilion organized by the Ukrainian Berries Association.
This year the Ukrainian delegation will be headed by Andriy Remizov, Head of Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office, who will take part in the working meetings with the representatives of different countries, international organizations and organic market stakeholders to build long-term partnerships and for further development of the Ukrainian organic sector.
The first National Pavilion of Ukraine at BIOFACH was presented in mid-February 2014 amidst the Revolution of Dignity and at the onset of annexation of Crimea. The present BIOFACH for the Ukrainians takes place amidst the russia’s full-fledged invasion of Ukraine which was launched on 24 February 2022.
Despite all the challenges, the Ukrainian producers continue working, producing organic products and exporting them all over the world.
The congress, whose theme this year is “Organic. Climate. Resilience”, will be traditionally held in the frame of the fair. It will focus on how to make organic production even more sustainable and climate-oriented (we have already written about some scheduled events).
