On 15 November 2023 the training “Organic Module (UA). Labelling of organic products. State logo for organic products” was held.
The main goal of the training was to inform operators, NGOs and service providers in the organic sector of Ukraine on the requirements and proper use of the state logo for organic products and labelling in general.
More than 130 participants of the online training had the opportunity to get acquainted with the legislation of Ukraine in the field of organic production, circulation and labelling of organic products, namely the order of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine “On Approval of the State Logo for Organic Products”.
The topic of the proper use of the state logo for organic products has been gaining relevance since the State register of operators producing organic products under legal requirements in the field of organic production, circulation, and labelling of organic products, which is maintained by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, was launched in Ukraine.
Currently, the operators have already begun to label their products with the Ukrainian state logo, and it was timely to provide them with knowledge on its practical use.
During the training were covered the topics of the legal aspects and liability for violation of legislation in the field of organic production and misuse of the state logo as well as the aspects and rules for labelling organic products in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.
