The largest trade fair for organic and natural products in the Middle East Middle East Organic & Natural Products Expo has started today. The fair has been held in Dubai for 21 years in a row under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, where the 28th Climate Conference (COP28) has just ended.
The organic market in the Middle East has grown significantly in recent years. For example, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is the third largest re-exporter in the world due to its ideal geographical location, and 92% of organic products in the region are imported, creating export opportunities for Ukrainian exporters in particular.
This year 5 Ukrainian producers-exporters are presenting their organic products at the trade fair on the National Stand of Ukraine.
When selecting exhibitors, preference was given to producers of organic products with higher added value. Therefore, among the products presented this year are cereal products, such as amaranth flakes, amaranth seed flour, wheat flour, corn sticks, as well as dairy products, drinking yoghurt, cheeses of various ages, sour cream, and high oleic sunflower oil, etc.
In general, the fair focuses on such market segments as food and beverage, health, beauty, etc. According to the organisers’ of the trade fair, it is expected that Middle East Organic & Natural Products Expo 2023 to attract over 10,000 B2B importers, wholesalers, retailers and distributors from the region which will give the opportunity to our organic operators to establish new export relationships with the Middle East countries.

Exhibiting companies at the National Stand of Ukraine at the Middle East Organic & Natural Products Expo:
- Organic Milk, LLC (Zhytomyr region): the company produces organic products under the Organic Milk brand, which is part of the Galeks-Agro group of companies. It produces organic dairy products, that are characterised by high quality and careful treatment of animals. The organic products include pasteurised cow’s milk, thermostatic kefir, thermostatic sour cream, cottage cheese, sweet cream butter, fermented baked milk, hard cheese, brynza, drinking yoghurt, pasteurised drinking cream, lactose-free yoghurt, etc. The company is participating in thetrade fair for the second time, and is also among the TOP-10 most recognisable organic brands in Ukraine, TOP-5 Ukrainian organic brands in retail abroad, and TOP-3 organic Ukrainian dairy producers in 2023.
- Organic Original, LLC (Ecorod) (Kyiv region): the company manufactures products under the Ecorod brand. It entered the market in 2011 and immediately took a leading position among the pioneers of the Ukrainian organic market. The company specialises in the production of organic flour, cereals, pulses, and corn sticks. The products are certified by Organic Standard certification body in accordance with the requirements of European and Ukrainian legislations in the field of organic production, that confirm the company’s activities comply with these requirements. The company participates at this fair for the second time, and is also among the TOP-10 most recognisable organic brands in Ukraine.
- Healthy Generation, LLC (Dnipro region): the company was founded in 2018 and specialises in the production of healthy products that do not contain gluten, sugar, trans fats, preservatives and synthetic colours. Later, the company began producing organic amaranth products, which are certified in accordance with European legislation. The range of organic products includes polished amaranth groats, amaranth flakes, amaranth seed oil and flour, and amaranth seed bran. Healthy Generation products are available on the shelves of the country’s largest retailers.
- Chemex LTD, LLC (ProOrganiсa) (Kyiv region): the company with over 20 years of experience. In 2020, a new organic processing plant was launched in the Kyiv region. The company supplies premium organic products, including about 58 items of winter wheat, buckwheat, and peas, under the ProOrganica brand to the UK and other countries in Europe and the world.
- Ukroliya, LLC (Poltava region): the company specialises in the production of organic oils, high oleic sunflower oil in particular. Other organic products include soya oil, sunflower and soya cake, sunflower hulls and fusel oil. The company is known for its high quality and compliance with organic production standards. The company is participating in this fair for the second time and is among the TOP 6 Ukrainian exporters of organic value-added products in 2023.
