Organic cranberry and cowberry pastes of TM «Liqberry» have won in the nomination «Organic products» at the tasting competition Favorite Food&Drinks.

Favorite Food&Drinks — is at the moment the only independent international tasting competition in Ukraine, which is conducted by a «blind» evaluation of organoleptic properties of food and drinks.

The commission is formed of specialists from industry associations, institutes and unions, and also departments of quality of retail and restaurant business.

«A lot of our customers initially compared pastes to jams, but more and more people start to understand the meaning of «functional nutrition» — said Irina Lukashuk, head of sales at «Liqberry». — Our organic berry pastes have gone through pre-clinical and clinical trials in the leading medical institutes of Ukraine, which have proven the health benefits of berry pastes. If we take cranberry and cowberry pastes, they are recommended for the prevention of colds, acute respiratory infections, gastritis, stomach disorders and more. Of course, you have to consult a doctor before the use of the pastes.»

Berry pastes are produced using the technology of «gentle» cavitation, which means grinding berries together with seeds and peel in order to save and even improve the nutritional value of the product. Because seeds oil is where a lot of valuable and healthy substances are stored, among them are unsaturated fatty acids omega-3-6-9 and antioxidants. After grinding, pastes go through pasteurization at a temperature lower than 80 degrees that helps to preserve the general positive effect of berries.

During the production of berry pastes, no sugar or other preservatives are added — nothing but berries! The whole production process is certified by “Organic standard” in accordance with the standards equivalent to the EU organic legislation.

Company products have been presented many times at international exhibitions in Germany, Japan, UAE, Spain, and are now awarded a gold medal at Favorite Food&Drinks 2021 tasting competition.

The competition was organized in January this year for the first time, 19 producers with 112 product names for food and drinks participated in the competition in 17 nominations. The next round of the competition is already planned for September this year.
