The Middle East Organic & Natural Products Expo, that takes place in Dubai, UAE, from 18 to 20 November 2024, offers extensive opportunities for exporting of Ukrainian products to the Persian Gulf and Middle Eastern markets.
Middle East Organic & Natural Products Expo is the only trade show for organic and natural food products and cosmetics in the Middle East and is held under the patronage of the UAE’s Ministry of Climate Change and Environment.
This year, 11 companies are represented at the National Pavilion of Ukraine, including 3 producers and exporters of organic products:
- VFI Oils for Life Ukraine LLC (Mykolaiv region) – plant-based oils,
- Hеra Nіna Mykolaivna PE (ORGANAT TM) (Kyiv region) – honey,
- Healthy Generation LLC (Dnipropetrovsk region) – groats, flakes, flour, and amaranth oil.
Ukrainian organic companies participated in the expo for the first time in 2021, where they had the opportunity to meet buyers from Middle Eastern countries and expand their export geography. Unfortunately, they could not participate in 2022 due to the full-scale invasion, but this year, the pavilion is once again attracting attention.
The catalogue of organic exporters, resources on organic production in Ukraine, and a brochure featuring organic higher value added products were presented within the pavilion. It is important to note that countries of the Persian Gulf rely on imports for 70-90% of their food supply. Therefore, ready-to-sell organic products are of significant interest to the region’s wholesalers, retailers, and distributors attending the expo.
The National Pavilion of Ukraine at the Middle East Organic & Natural Products Expo 2024 is organised by Unite Ukraine NGO in collaboration with the State Institution “Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office”, the national project Diia.Business, and with support from the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund. OrganicInfo.ua provides informational assistance with the support of Switzerland within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian programme “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraine” (QFTP), implemented by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland) in partnership with SAFOSO AG (Switzerland).
