Every three years, emblematic Organic World Congress (OWC) is held in conjunction with General Assembly of IFOAM (The International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements), involving thousands of organic farmers, producers, researchers, advocates, and policy experts from around the world.
Congress will offer a truly global, diverse space that inspires positive change through knowledge exchange, learning, and the formulation of organic, sustainable solutions, for a better tomorrow for all.
The congress program consists of 6 themes to inspire action:
- Leadership Forum: Discuss and shape the future of the organic movement
- Farmers’ and Advisors’ Forum: Share knowledge and initiatives
- Science Forum: Present research on the organic sector
- Supply and Value Chain Forum: Share inspiring experiences and address professional concerns
- Culture and Education Forum: Discuss the philosophical foundation and knowledge management of the organic movement
- Stakeholder Forum: Promote a multi-actor approach for organic food systems
and, to date, has about 600 speakers.
The World Organic Congress has been postponed due to COVID-19, but this year it will be held in two formats: offline and online.
