Today, the Collective stand of Ukraine started its work at the international trade fair GastroNord 2024, which will last from April 9 to 11 in Stockholm, Sweden. Ukraine is represented for the first time at GastroNord by 12 companies, 7 of which are organic.
Northern European countries are the most developed markets of organic products. They are role models, as governments support the development and promotion of organic production in every way, and consumers are increasingly focused on a healthy lifestyle and aware of the value of organic food and beverages.
Retail trade is the largest sales channel of organic products in all the countries of Northern Europe. As of the end of 2022, the share of sales of organic products in the Swedish retail structure was 8.2%.
At the same time, the level of consumption of organic products per capita in Sweden was 248 euros per year, and the total volume of sales exceeded 2.6 billion euros. Sweden ranks 5th in the world in terms of the share of organic products and the level of consumption per capita.
