BrandStory, in collaboration with the certification body Organic Standard, has been compiling a ranking of the most well-known and recognisable organic brands in Ukraine for four consecutive years.
The ranking is primarily based on research of the Ukrainian organic products market from the previous year. Additionally, factors such as product availability and presence in shops, brand popularity (including sales figures and customer feedback), and distinguishing features that set brands apart from competitors are evaluated. The criteria also include the brands’ presence in retail chains and their activity in media and social networks.
Five rankings have been compiled n 2024:
- TOP 10 Most Recognisable Organic Brands in Ukraine
- TOP 3 Organic Grocery Producers in Ukraine
- TOP 3 Ukrainian Organic Fresh Brands
- TOP Organic Dairy Producers in Ukraine
- Top 5 Ukrainian Exporters of High Value Added Organic Products
Products from these brands can be found in specialised organic shops and major national supermarket chains in Ukraine, including Goodwine, Winetime, Metro, Silpo, Auchan, Velyka Kyshenia, Fora, Novus, MegaMarket, and others, as well as directly on the producers’ websites.
Organic products in retail outlets can be identified not only by the individual branding of the producer but also by the Ukrainian national organic logo they are labelled with. It is important to note that, from 1 July 2024, it is mandatory for organic products sold on the domestic Ukrainian market to have a certificate confirming organic production and the product’s organic status in accordance with the Ukrainian organic legislation, as well as to bear the state logo for organic products on the packaging.
The preparation of materials was made possible with the support of Switzerland within the Swiss-Ukrainian programme “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraine” (QFTP), implemented by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland) in partnership with SAFOSO AG (Switzerland).
