Of course, canned products are a very traditional and usual thing for Ukrainians. Who didn’t prepare them at home! But when we speak about organic canned products there are many nuances. According to the requirements of organic production, all production processes should be certified, from land to packing, and each ingredient of the final product has to be certified as well.
Most women of earlier generations have books with recipes of pickles and marinated tomatoes, borsch dressings, jams etc. And it’s good if all the ingredients for these dishes have been grown in your vegetable garden and you’re sure about their origin. But if you buy all of this, can you know for sure that while growing the products no agrochemicals or growth regulators were used? And sugar or vinegar, which we traditionally use for preservation, are made of natural ingredients and in compliance with organic production? Because as we know, for example, production of sugar is quite a complex process and, in Ukraine, organic sugar was only produced in the 2018-2019 marketing year (then production stopped). And there is no certified organic vinegar in Ukraine at all at the moment.
So the work that has been done by the company «Stodola» is even more valuable as at the end of 2020 it presented a range of organic canned products. «Stodola» has offered more than 50 items of products of deep processing: sauces and ketchup, canned and marinated vegetables, vegetable juices and chips, canned vegetable salads and soups, also jam.
Most vegetables are grown on the land that belongs to the company, others are bought from reliable organic producers from all over Ukraine, and some ingredients have to be imported. So the company is developing its own recipes and production technologies to depend on imported products as little as possible and to be able to offer consumers a high-quality product for a reasonable price.
All products of LLC «Stodola» are certified by Organic Standard in accordance with the standard equivalent to the EU standard.
