The data about agricultural land converted to organic or in-conversion for 2016-2025.
Over the years, data collection and aggregation were carried out within the mandate of the relevant central executive body responsible for agricultural policy, reflecting changes in the ministry’s structure and name.
Information on the number of organic operators and the area of land under organic agriculture is collected annually based on data provided by foreign certification bodies, which certified organic production and circulation of organic products in Ukraine.
The data for 2016-2018 were collected for the Equivalent EU Organic Production & Processing Standard for Third Countries; The data for 2019-2025 – according to the standards that meet the requirements of the organic legislation of the EU and/or the USA (NOP).
The infographics are based on the Organic Market Study of Ukraine held by Organic Standard certification body (Ukraine) in partnership with OrganicInfo.ua with the support of Switzerland within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian Programme “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraine” (QFTP) implemented by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland) in partnership with SAFOSO AG (Switzerland).
