{"id":9546,"date":"2021-02-17T18:57:14","date_gmt":"2021-02-17T16:57:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/organicinfo.ua\/news\/organic-market-grew-10-billion-euro\/"},"modified":"2021-02-22T21:32:30","modified_gmt":"2021-02-22T19:32:30","slug":"organic-market-grew-10-billion-euro","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/organicinfo.ua\/en\/news\/organic-market-grew-10-billion-euro\/","title":{"rendered":"Organic market grew by 10 billion euros in 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>According to data presented during BIOFACH eSpecial 2021, the organic market in 2019 grew by 10 billion, reached 106 billion euros and continued to grow in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The United States (44.7 billion euros), Germany (12.0 billion euros) and France (11.3 billion euros) remain the leaders in terms of market volume.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Denmark became the leader in the consumption of organic products per capita in 2019 &#8211; 344 euros are spent there on average per year, followed by Switzerland, where an average of 338 euros per person per year is spent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The number of certified lands has also increased by almost 1 million hectares. According to the results of 2019, the total amount of the lands under organic production reached 72.3 million hectares around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It should be noted that Ukraine, according to official data, entered the TOP 3 countries in Europe, in terms of growth of land under organic production. The increase in 2019 reached almost 50% and the amount of land under organic production in Ukraine is about 468 thousand hectares, which is only 1.1% of all agricultural land in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ukraine ranks 20th in the world in terms of lands occupied by organic production, and in Europe &#8211; 12.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s check some infographics from the annual guide in the field of organic agriculture that contains information from all over the world \u00abWorld of Organic Agriculture 2021\u00bb.
