According to the survey of organic business<\/a>, which was conducted by the Organic Initiative and Organic Ukraine NGO in mid-July 2022, about 70% of organic operators<\/strong> continue organic production and processing fully or partially.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The survey showed that the domestic market is mostly affected by the low purchasing power and reduced demand for organic products, in particular, due to displacement of a significant number of people to other regions of Ukraine and abroad, disrupted supply chains due to destroyed infrastructure and closing of some retail chains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, Phase 2 of the Grant Program will be focused on strengthening the capacity of the organic sector, supporting organic operators, organic producers and processors with a focus on sales and marketing on the domestic market.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

At this phase it is important to create the preconditions for further development of the organic sector. Support will be given to the initiatives that help to restore the economic viability of operators and service providers of the organic market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications are accepted until 20 September 2022 to <\/strong>info@organicinitiative.org.ua<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

During this phase about 30 applications for a total amount of USD 150,000 will be supported. The maximum amount of support per one application is USD 5,000 in UAH equivalent (about UAH 180,000).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The results will be announced by the end of September 2022, the estimated launch of activities \u2013 early or mid-October 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Grant Program \u201cSupport of organic sector in Ukraine\u201d was initiated by the <\/strong>Organic Initiative<\/strong><\/a>, which includes key players of the organic sector of Ukraine. The Organic Initiative joined forces and resources of like-minded people and started its activities in April 2020, it aims to promote the development of the organic market and increase trade with Ukrainian organic products on the domestic and foreign markets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The monetary fund of the Grant Program<\/strong> is formed from charitable donations and contributions of individuals and legal entities (residents and non-residents of Ukraine), targeted contributions of international projects \/ technical assistance programs and other revenues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
